CFADPT-CS Compact Flash to IDE adapter

CFADPT-CS picture

The CFADPT-CS adapters  allow use of Compact flash memory cards with any CPU with a 44 pin 2mm or 40 pin .1" IDE connector.  The adapters have an activity light and a push button ejector, making it suitable for panel mounting. The CFADPT adapters can be jumpered for master or slave and can get the CF power (5V at <100mA) from the 44 pin IDE connection or the on card auxilliary power connector (floppy style .1" header) when 40 pin cables are used.

CFADPT7 2.5" Hard drive format compact flash to IDE adapter

CFADPT7 picture

The CFADPT7 can be mounted where a 2.5" hard drive would fit as it has the same mounting holes and same physical size. The CFADPT7 is available as a standard single drive or optionally a dual drive with two CF sockets. The CFADPT7 supports newer CF cards that use DMA. The adapters have an activity light and a push button ejector for the top drive , making it suitable for panel mounting. The CFADPT7 adapters can be jumpered for master or slave and can get the CF power (5V at <100mA) from the 44 pin IDE connection or the on card auxilliary power connector (floppy style .1" header) when 40 pin cables are used.

CFADPTHD Dual Compact Flash to IDE adapter

The CFADPTHD adapter  allow use of 2 Compact flash memory cards with any CPU with a 44 pin 2mm or 40 pin .1" IDE connector.  The CFADPTHD has 2 CF sockets, one connected as master and one connected as slave. Master and slave can be swapped with a on card jumper. The adapter has an activity light and a push button ejectors, making it suitable for panel mounting.   The CFADPTHD can get the CF power (5V at <100mA) from the 44 pin IDE connection or the on card auxilliary power connectors . Both hard drive style and floppy style power connectors are supplied.

  4X20 fixed/removeable  flash drive + Ethernet

The 4X20 is a PC/104 card with 8M to 64M of on card IDE flash, a compact flash socket, and a 10BaseT/AUI Ethernet interface. The on card flash uses NAND flash devices and ECC for best possible write life. Since it is hardware compatible with an IDE drive, no special drivers are needed for any operating system. On card flash can be 8M, 16M, or 32M with larger options available as flash densities improve. The Compact flash socket accepts any standard compact flash memory card to provide removeable storage.  The 4X20 can be jumpered for primary (0x1f0,IRQ14), secondary (0x170,IRQ15) or alternate (0x150,IRQ10) addresses. When the on card flash is set as master, the compact flash is selected as slave and vice versa. The on optional CS8900 based Ethernet has both on card RJ45, optional panel mount RJ45 (Mesa TAU) and AUI interfaces.

4M22 DISK EMULATOR

The 4M22 is a Flash or battery backed RAM disk that use 6 JEDEC 32 pin chips giving a capacity of up to 6M bytes with flash or 3M bytes with static RAM. The 4M22 has 2 independent banks, 1 bank of 2 chips and another of 4 chips. This allows mixing of memory types. For example flash memory could be used for program storage, while batttery backed RAM could be used for log files where constant writes would wear out the flash memory. The on card BIOS makes the disk memory appear as a standard disk to the operating system. On card voltage sensing and write protection circuits make the battery backed RAM extremely reliable.

 4M24 IDE flash drive

The 4M24 is a 8,16, or 32M byte IDE flash drive in a PC/104 format. Since the has a built in IDE controller, it is bootable by and compatible with most operating systems without the need for drivers or extension ROMS. The NAND flash chip used on the 4M24 have a long inherent life span which is enhanced by the controllers built in ECC and wear leveling. The 4M24 can use either the primary or secondary IDE address so that it does not interfere with existing IDE drives

SmartIDE - Smart Media to IDE adapter

The SmartIDE is an adapter that allows use of SmartMedia cards with any CPU with an IDE interface. SmartMedia cards are NAND flash memory devices packaged in a removable package smaller than a credit card and just as thin! SmartMedia cards have no built in controller, so they are less expensive per bit than compact flash and ATA flash drives, especially in small capacities. The SmartIDE adapter is ideal for adding low cost removeable solid state storage to embedded systems. Since the SmartIDE adapter is a true IDE drive, no special drivers or software are needed. The SmartIDE adapter works with 5V and 3.3V SmartMedia cards with capacities from 2M to 32 M bytes. The SmartIDE adaptor gets its power (5V at <100mA) from the 44 pin IDE connection.
